Why a portfolio? Well around the end of August 2008, I was cleaning up the hard drive on my computer when I noticed that there were lots of my site layouts, photographs etc lying about all over the place. I decided to collect all of them together and put them together to make a portfolio. I was originally thinking up to make a portfolio a while back but never created it. With University only a year away, I thought it was about time to create a portfolio in order to display all of my work. I may not have many sites but I’ve always loved making layouts and to have them all together on one site makes it so much easier. Some of my layouts have disappeared and I am unable to find them either due to deleting them or a virus killing my hard drive. So why did I call my portfolio, Devotion? Well mainly because of the meaning of the word which is:

Devotion: noun. loyalty and love or care for someone or something.

Originally intended to be my fanlisting collective name, I decided to use it for this layout archive as I completely and utterly adore making layouts, graphics, poems, photographs etc and I am very much dedicated to my websites as well as my work so it’s as simple as that. I noticed that a lot of archives and portfolios have a name related some what to art although I am absolutely rubbish when it comes to choosing names and devotion sounded just right.
